Spinning Fishing
It consists of casting a lure of a certain weight and retrieving it at the appropriate speed, simulating the movement of a small fish. It serves as an attractor or irritant. The most commonly used lures are shiny ones (sparkle), rapalas, or spoons. Organic baits (bait) in motion or at rest are also used, waiting for the bite or strike out of attraction. It is generally practiced in the sea, both on docks, beaches, and coastal areas, as well as in lakes and rivers (perch, carp, or snook).
Fly Fishing
In this type of fishing, an artificial lure called a «fly» is used, which simulates an insect (terrestrial or aquatic). In its different phases (adult, pupa, or larva), it also imitates fish, small rodents, and even alien insects created and manufactured by the fishermen themselves. Part of the appeal of this fishing is the personal crafting of the perfect fly for the location, fish, and appropriate season. It is usually done in lakes and rivers, and less frequently, in the sea.

Trolling Fishing
In this type of fishing, artificial lures or organic baits are dragged behind a boat to maintain the tension caused by the towing. The rods are smaller and equipped with strong rings. Trolling fishing is practiced both at sea (mackerel, corvina, dolphinfish, tuna, marlin) and in lakes or rivers for catching trout, usually of large size.
All the above modalities can be accompanied by a voluntary or obligatory act of release, also known as catch and release: whose purpose is the conservation of natural resources over time, and consists of the immediate release of the fish into the watercourse, without unnecessary harm that compromises its survival. It is especially practiced in fly fishing, but since it is a behavior, it can also apply to spinning and trolling fishing.
